LWB - tilt forward to access parcel shelf / rear?
I’m in the market to 991.2 MT car. I’m torn on the sofas vs buckets. Buckets aren’t needed (this is a street car) but seem to be so desirable and look incredible.
Can the buckets be tilted forward for access to rear section of interior, say to carry bags or other items?
Thanks

In the US, buckets are fixed so they do not hinge forward (you would need to go sofas for that). I do believe there was some European bucket models (IIRC) had a hinge and could fold forward. (I may be making that up, but I am pretty sure I saw that somewhere on this forum).

@Richard_Wallace The 997 GT2 had a folding bucket that has become a sought-after upgrade for our cars but I don't believe the 991 generation ever had a folding back.

I believe it was a US D.O.T safety testing/compliance issue ... they were available on the aftermarket, I had a set in my GT3 at one point but later sold them.

IMO LWBS are cool and are great for the track. For daily or frequent driving I'd get the sofas. I have the LWBS in my touring and find them comfortable (some do not) but not a seat I like when running errands or just around town. If I had it to do over again I'd get the buckets.

Great idea, though not enough cable length for the airbags, seat lifters for you to tilt.
Hence the clubsport buckets are the answer from PAG.

If you don’t have a rollbar, which I assume you don’t, you can put large soft bags and plenty of stuff in back. Slide one seat all the way forward and the one all the way back.
I have a Cantrell bar and can fit a chair, helmet bag, backpack, etc in the back.
