Default GT3RS 991.1 rear wing issues

is there anywhere in the Uk makes Carbon fibre rear wings and winglets for a 2015/6 991.1GT3RS. mine has the usual paint defects / bubbles and rather than try painting it and it reappear as i've not found a solution to it on here yet, id replace it if possible. any help with either sorting the paint issue or local manufacturers would be greatly appreciated.

I also have paint bubbling issues on my 2016-UV-GT3RS, Porsche refuses to do anything about it!!!

Horrible, car has 3500 miles and has never been left outside of a climate controlled garage, only been used for short drives in good weather

What did the painter do this time different than Porsche to make sure it doesn’t happen again? I find this unexpectable, for a car at this price.

nothing, its just fresh paint. it was 700 bucks vs 5000 or 7000 or whatever for the wing setup fully.

Default its back after being repainted

well, interestingly tonight i just washed the car after having the wing repainted two weeks ago, which was very well done by a local man who does alot of high end cars etc
i have read where some people think its caused by the heat from the engine, and they may be onto something, so we went out a blast tonight and it would be safe to say the car did get a really really good heating for about 15 miles
i have just ran it into the garage and low and behold its back! couldn't quite believe it. not as bad as it was before but regardless after spending £400 quid getting it done something has tonight caused it to reappear.
outside temperature is about 10 - 12 degrees celsius so quite cool.
also we were out last weekend and on local roads with no spirited driving at all and it was fine, so has the engine heat got something to do with it??
Also there has to be a solution? heat resistant undercoat / paint, maybe a gel coat???
anyone know of somewhere i could get a carbon wing in the uk?

it's ridiculous on a car of that price they won't sort it out! ruins an otherwise great car. lovely colour by the way.

I have a 2016 RS and I have not seen any paint issues on my wing. Maybe a good ceramic coating after a repaint might help prevent it from coming back.

after digging into this abit today it's a possibility that the resin used is not a heat resistant resin causing it to blister! however i'm getting a carbon fibre company to look at it to see what they can dig up.
they can and would make an identical new wing but to make a mould for one would be expensive, but i'll see what they come up with anyhow.

I have this issue also. I am informed it is the composite resin "weeping" oils from its construction, and unavoidable. I'm having a replacement made in CF over winter and a mould is being taken from my wing.

Pain in the ****!

The wing on my .1RS came with the imperfections. Most of the .1RS wings I have seen came this way from the factory. I had a local paint shop refinished the surface and then had it warped with clear film.

Another option may be getting a color matched wrap for the wing.

Carbon fiber panels are painted (by hand) by Porsche’s suppliers. This is why they have these issues and also if you look at a 3RS hood under a light, you can see its shade will be a touch different than the fenders and bumper. Its just how it is. Corvette is the same. Its impossible for two different locations to paint panels and have the paint match.

I dont have these issues with my wing but I have had it xpel wrapped since 300 miles (11,000 miles now).
