Exploring GT3 Exhaust Options in DFW, TX
#63
OK sounds like we have some interest.... let's meet up for coffee on Saturday, January 28th @ 8:30am.
Location is the Starbucks @ Preston & Spring Creek Parkway in Plano, unless someone strongly prefers another location.
Lakeside Market, 4025 Preston Rd, Plano, TX 75093.
I'll keep an eye on the weather as well, we may postpone depending on conditions.

My JCR center will be here tomorrow. Pulled the bumper off today to get ready. Can't decide if i should put my side mufflers back on or not, have valved bypasses now but the JCR has a silencer in the quiet pipe. Hmmmmm
Thoughts?

Doesn’t hurt to give it a try! Nothing ventured nothing gained. Just know going into it that it will be one of the most aggressive exhaust setups you can run - the volume increase is SIGNIFICANT. Will probably sound epic though.

I love the side deletes + JCR valved ti center.

Ok i'm gonna try the JCR with the side deletes this weekend and see how loud it is before buttoning it all back up. I cleaned the intake too, incredible how much junk gets into the fender intakes. Tons of pebbles and plenty of track rubber.

Sorry to say but the side muffler bypass and JCR was just far too loud for regular use. Ended up putting the side mufflers back on with the JCR. It’s now quieter and louder than my former setup.
have some valved bypasses if anyone wants to try some.

And the JCR is one of the quieter centers too! Any center bypass with an expansion chamber design is even louder (GMG, Soul, Dundon, etc).
IMO the volume of a center bypass only is the perfect volume for most. Enjoy!

FWIW- a bit late to this thread but I have the Fabspeed valved side muffler delete + Fabspeed center pipes and yes it's a bit loud , but it sounds pretty damn Cup Car like and zero drone inside at any speed. Kinda shocking it doesn't to be quite honest, but since I enjoy have 315's in the rear, I'm super stoked not to worry at all about heat back there. WOT to 9K in a tunnel or concrete wall is redonkulous.
I bought the car with this setup and it's been on it for a few yrs and miles and it's all held up quite well. Welds look good as do the clamps and bolts. I'm tempted to pull it all off and polish it.
You definitely get used to the sound level , so I personally don't think it's too loud and I am a late 50 something dude. Last month I did a 2 a.m fun run , I live in the countryside ( Hudson Valley NY ) and there are some sections in my area that have a slight Le Mans vibe to it and holy hell does this car transport you to the realm of wannabe factory driver .
I have full LED PLDS+ and I gotta say that w/ that highly defined beam and the glorious sound at full chat it's hard not to love the car .
YMMV.
