Default PDK-S in traffic clutch wear?

Hey guys, how durable is the PDK-S I’m talking about in riding the clutch say in traffic? And reversing at an incline? I sometimes have to drive my 991.1 GT3 in stop and go traffic. I know that single clutch like lambo can wear clutch prematurely if you ride it.

The PDK clutches are bathed in a special oil (separate from the gear oil) - should be fine.

Thanks for the reply. But won’t riding the clutch causes quite bit of heat? I guess the PDK-S is designed for paddles clutch dump and over 1000+ launches I guess it would be fine. Cos I don’t really want to move from stop and go traffic by stabbing the throttle really hard

Just give some space between you and the car in front so you aren't inching forward every 1/2 second. Wait until you can get up to speed a bit in 1st and then you won't have anything to worry about. But I think you'll be fine either way...

Just put in neutral , I do it on all of my dual clutch cars.

Pull both paddles and hold, it goes to neutral, let go and it goes back to an appropriate gear or the one you were in if low enough for the speed.

I daily'd a 991.1 GT3 for nearly 30k.

Many many, too many really, of those miles in SoCal stop-and-go traffic.

PDK, no worse for wear.

You're fine.

Worry less.

Continue driving.

Avoid trying to tease the car along at one or two miles per hour, where the clutches are only partially engaged. Same condition you would try to avoid with a traditional manual clutch. I mean, the PDK clutches can handle plenty of that without detonating into a nuclear explosion, but of course the wear rate is slightly increased, so just minimize it.
