It was an epic long weekend. weather was perfect, great group of people again, no off road issues, wonderful tribute to JB at Atlanta Motorsports Park, and the group raised a few hundred thousand dollars for CF Foundation! Hard to beat the experience. Many thanks to Sean, Mayur, Mike and all the other volunteers that make this event a reality each year. Its truly special.

Was an honor to meet Hartmut the 81yr old gentleman that out drove me all weekend long in his CGT seen below. Absolute inspiration and legend. Big thanks to Sean and Mayur for putting up with all of us and hosting such an incredible event anchored to a great cause. Photo by Kevin Dunsky. Can't forget all the volunteers, mwar99 every time I saw you I think you were putting out fires. You guys did a killer job.

It’s taken a few days to fathom everything that happened just a few days ago at Smokies GT Spring 2022.
For me, like many, it was an emotional roller coaster from the get go. The police escort, the piper, the roaring enthusiasm at the party on the parking deck. All of it lined with memories of our friend Jon and others.
Each and every participant made the event what it was, a huge success. Kindness and camaraderie came together and showed what good can be achieved. All this at a time when division seems to be the general objective of communication.
I was humbled by all of us coming TOGETHER AGAIN!

A huge thanks to all our master sponsors - Hennessy Porsche, HRE, Dundon. Thank you Michael (mwar99), Garrick, Luke, and all the volunteers. Without all of you 😱 !

Along with other sponsors and supporters they helped us raise over $220,000 for The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and other charitable causes.

You, @sgroer and @mwar99 made another fantastic GT event possible. And the best part is....we don't have to wait 3 years for the next one.
Thanks again.

https://rennlist.com/forums/general-...gt-2022-a.html

I had started a Smokies 2022 thread and posted some pics on the proper "Events" forum trying to follow the rules, but nobody is there so will add a few here where we all are anyway.

It was truly an amazing event. Having so many GTs in one place was incredible. The weather, the roads, the cool people, all added up to an unforgettable weekend. Looking forward to the next one!
