Looking to purchase a GT3 soon and have a few questions.
Hello, I am looking to purchase a GT3 in the next month or so assuming I find the specs I am looking for. As I dive deeper I keep coming up with more questions.
Are the power seats the same in the .1 as they are in the .2?

You lost most of us when you said "power seats". The carbon fiber bucket seats are one of the things that makes this car desirable and especially if you are going to track your GT3 you want them. Other than that, I would venture a guess that the power seats in the .1 are the same as the .2 or at least no noticeable difference.

I would wait about 6-8 months. GT3's are way overpriced right now (bubble) and there is a glut of them on the market.

Yes they are the same. No difference between the two generations.
As far as what Airbag997 said I agree. I've been daily tracking the market and there has been a noticeable increase in pricing since the 992 started getting absurd ADM's tacked on. If you wait another 6-8 months you will be in a better position. Prices have already started to stagnate if you watch BaT, Pcarmarket, and Ebay. I've been tracking the market daily since August looking for one and we seem to be that point where inventory is sitting longer and longer but people aren't ready to budge yet on high prices. Suggest waiting until at least spring when more 992's are delivered and even more inventory comes on the market of the .1 and .2.

Prices always go up in spring and/or cars do not stay on the market as long. Inflation w/ the requisite increase in prices of everything is here to stay and likely to get far worse than where we are now. If you want something, buy it now.

i heard from the janitor at Porsche NA (patient of mine) that the padding material was changed in the .2 gt3 power seats.

Yes and they are called sofas for a reason. The one piece LWCB are the way to go in a GT3 .There are two versions of the sofas and 18 way the better of the two.

Don't listen to these guys about bucket seats. The GT3 seats are arguably the least comfortable seat ever put into a car. If you want to track your car, which i hope you do because driving it on the streets for fun is ludicrous, then you can buy racing seats that actually fit your body for $1k each, and put in a half cage so you can install a six point harness so your HANS device saves your life when you under estimate turn 17 @ Sebring, or brakes fail you on turn 12 @ COTA. Just park the buckets or sofas in the garage since you'll have to tear everything out when selling.

I disagree... They aren't uncomfortable at all and very supportive. Maybe positioned a but too upright, angle brackets are a solid addon. Dedicated seat is the safest though. That said, beauty of the car is it is mostly ready to go and hit the track.

I agree with what you are saying and see prices flattening. I am in the market for a gt3 as well. The 20-30k price increase over the last 6 months is nuts but so is the increase in my 991.2 c2s. If the prices dip a bit so will my trade in on my car. It’s close to a wash it seems. If one has nothing to trade it may make sense to wait.
