Potential Driveway Entry of Death Incline Help for GT3
Hey folks. Currently have a 992 GT3 on order that should be here soon and the wife and I are also house hunting. This my entry into the P-Car world. We are also looking for a house and wife ended up loving a home that potentially has a driveway of death. Here is a photo of the property with our rental car showing what would potentially be the lowest point. Anyone here with a similar driveway with a GT3, can you chime in on if this looks doable? The car will have FAL. Any ideas on potential solutions on reducing grade?

I think you're fine.
Take it at an angle, s-l-o-w-ly, and you will not scrape.

Always hard to tell in photographs, but if those cars weren't parked on the driveway I think you could go on an angle with the front up and you would be fine. This is my street - it's probably the steepest in my neighborhood (I live in the hills) and I can get in and out easily with FAL and on an extreme angle. You could look at Bridjit ramps to see if they would be another solution.

I was in a similar situation when purchasing a home last year. Decided to go through with it and hope for the best. The slope looks similar to what you are dealing with. With FAL, angle in slowly is no problem. I do have to back down the driveway and angle out backwards the same way though. I think you're fine

Absolutely impossible to tell from that picture.
I've found that it's best to buy the car first and figure the rest out later. Sometimes you have to rip out your driveway, re-grade, re-pour and test the limits of your wife's patience.

That's not bad at all just hit it as mentioned sideways ...Welcome to the world of low cars ... Just designate a spot on the drive as I do that works best for coming in and out and tell everyone the that's the Porsche spot !!

I don't think the part you are parked on it the issue. Looking at the first pic, my concern is the breakover angle and scraping the crap out of the rockers and panels underneath.

Of course it isn't the slope that is problematic. It's sharp CHANGES in slope, such as may be found at the entrances to some driveways, perhaps the top of your driveway where it brakes over if that isn't a smooth transition, or those stupid "soft curb" entrances that don't qualify as a smooth transition at all. The rate of change in angle must be less than the degrees-per-distance from your tire's contact patch to any potential scraping point. I've flat out turned down some houses that my wife liked just because of their driveway situations.
Our current house has a driveway that's kind of steep for the first twenty feet, but the entrance transition is just smooth enough that I can get my 3RS in and out with the FAL activated.
