Just picked up the gt3 touring from the dealership. Apparently there has been a parts recall with the gt3 for a material fault in a part of the throttle valve. That part's plastic softens under heat and causes an interruption of airflow at heavy load (above 7000rpm). They testdrove and said that solved the problem. Engine feels slightly more responsive after picking it up but that might be entirely subjective, have yet to find the time to testdrive and rev the 3rd gear out.
Thanks for updating us on this. Do you have any info on that recall, like a bulletin number? Thanks and finger crossed that fixed your issue.
This is the dealership summary of the works done, it's in german though.
No clue if this also relates to the winged gt3, they didn't specify.
Will try and test the car tomorrow.

Actually I wrote this some months ago in PFF. My dealer has changed the part as a precaution.
But I think the car has now less induction noise. Have you noticed?
If anything, and again I find the way you experience these things after something has been done to the car very subjective, it sounds a bit clearer, and I felt, better.

I agree - there is less suction noise and the engine and exhaust notes are clearer.
I'll try, don't know if that makes fully sense.
the work description is "replaced 1 hood for throttle valve"
the two parts are 9A111021590 "sealing"
and 99111027084 "intake manifold"
Unfortunately the problem prevails. Reappeared after an autobahn drive today, same as before. So I don’t think the works done fixed that specific problem. Taking it back in to the workshop.
Apologies, I thought I had replied here after the dealership solved it. It was the camshaft speed sensor that some users had suggested before that was faulty in the end, got replaced and the problem was permanently solved. Once they ran it up to Porsche HQ in Germany they very quickly came back with that suggestion as they seem to be aware of the problem. I since have traded the car for something else but it ran fantastically well for 40.000km otherwise.

Glad to hear they fixed it for you. Did they mention which cam sensor? There are two intake and two exhaust sensors.
