Question About to pull trigger - Y or N on this car?

GT3 market is crazy but I've got some crazy offers for my 991.2 GTS as a trade in that takes a little bit of the sting out of it. Have a deposit on a 991.2 MT and literally moments away from buying.

MSRP $177k - 6 speed manual, FAL, Buckets, PDLS, extended tank, Steel brakes
PTS - Arrow Blue.
CPO with 2500 miles.
One owner car, european delivery, serviced at Porsche dealer who is the seller.
My price: $208k.

Am I insane?

Insane, yes. Though hard to say whether you or the market is the insane one. Maybe both are.

For a PTS 6-speed car in this current market, I don't think that price is unreasonable. If you take the PTS out of the mix off the build sheet, it looks like a relatively low MSRP car but it has all the right big ticket options. Could you save 12-18k getting a comparable optioned standard color car? Probably. But it won't be arrow blue. I think it comes down to how bad do you want the PTS. Good luck with your decision!

Get it, do you want to wait a year or 2 for prices to get back to "normal" (whatever that is!)

sounds like a nice car you could be enjoying right away!

I glanced over you have a GTS to trade....do it....you're getting a super strong number on that car which offsets the "premium" you're paying on the GT3.....you'll regret it if you don't

Data point for ya...My Brother just bought a 2018 Arrow Blue GT3 with 5k miles PCCB, buckets, front lift, MSRP was a little over $180k for $209k with CPO

If you intend to keep the car for a while, the price kind of doesn't matter. If you are in and out of cars regularly, now might not be the time to buy. However you are buying and selling in the same market, so what the heck!

I would say buy it. Price is high but it is not insane in this crazy market.

I wouldn't because of the steel brakes, unless you track the car a lot. But obv very subjective. Price isn't too bad considering mileage but the bakes would be a deal breaker for me.

I would consider this another way == how much do you think your GTS would be worth in a normal market versus how much are you getting in this market?
its the trade in difference that should be taken into consideration
That same GT3 if you were you buy it a year ago would fetch $160K so its overpriced by at least $40K
The trade in for your GTS is overpriced by how much? if its close to at least $20-$25K I would say do it without waiting for the prices to settle, which actually may never happen ....

Put the money aside for a minute.

Do you like the car as it is configured? As in, is it the perfect or near perfect spec for you?

If the answer is yes, then get it.

You can always make more money. Time? Not so much.

208 it is a deal compared to what they are selling for at the dealers in the ny/nj area. life is short, take every opportunity possible to enjoy it, owning a gt3 has changed how I think about sport cars.
