Thoughts on selling my 991.2 GT3 High MSRP

So with these market values so inflated due to chip and material shortages has anyone thought about selling their high MSRP vehicles?
This thread is probably going to get some keyboard warriors but I want to see if there are any real data points out there from guys who have bought or sold their GT3 in todays car market.
I built my '18 GT3 to my spec with a 188K MSRP so it's pretty much loaded with most things that people want. In a normal market I expect this thing to devalue slightly and I love this car but I've been seeing Dealers pushing price on units $20K+ over MSRP. I think this is nuts but has anyone actually bought a new to me .2 GT3 or sold theirs and what type of offers did you get when selling? I've emailed with BaT and they want to set my reserve below my MSRP and watch it bid up. Anyone else have experience with BaT and can give me guidance?

I've toyed with this same question. I bought my high spec ($191k) 991.2 GT3 last year. It was pretty much the exact spec I would have ordered directly -- PTS sports classic grey, PCCBs, FAL, full leather, and MT. I absolutely love the car and bought it with the intention of keeping it long term.
992 touring allocation subsequently came my way. That opportunity and the current market had me at least thinking about moving the 991.2. Holding out for the touring reveal (not a fan of the classic 992 GT3) and crossing my fingers that the current market stays hot until then.

Why sell something for a quick buck if you enjoy it, if your spending that kind of money what is 10-20K profit going to do you?
- Inflation is real
- Limited time on this planet
- Taxes paid already and gains on profit

For me, it's deciding between the known 991.2 that I love or gamble in relation to the 992. I would never not have a gt3 again -- it's like having a roller coaster ride sitting in your garage. Too much fun to live without!

I'm not a fan of 992 even with front suspension updates. 991.2 to me is the greatest iteration of a modern 911. Great ones are not easy to come by.

Im going to follow this listing once it goes live. After your listing period would love to get your thoughts on the process with BaT or if you're ok connecting offline would love to hear what they told you. I emailed back wanting a higher reserve and rather then reach out and discuss with me they just dont respond. Found it a bit unprofessional that they didnt respond or even explain thought process.

it does BAT no good to list your car at a high reserve and have it not sell. i think you know the answer to your question. But it should be your terms since it is your car. There is always ebay or cargurus which spares the buyer any fees and you can sell it/list it for whatever number you want.

I think a lot of dealers and sellers are swinging at the fences and hoping to land a sale at their crazy asking prices.. We paid right at sticker for a well spec'd 2019 GT3 with 6k miles from a private party. Had a dealer purchased it, they would have listed it for $25-35K more. Who knows what they would have actually gotten for it.
We have sold 5 cars on BAT so know the process reasonably well. They are very busy right now, so it can take over a month to get listed once you have submitted your auction and paid your $99. Of course they want the reserve lower... they want the car to sell so they can make their commission. Its a significant amount of work to build a BAT auction properly and they want to be compensated for their work. Thing is, if the car is presented properly (detailed, photographed well, good driving video etc) and you do a good job responding to questions, the car will bring market or above, that's what auctions do. It's a worldwide audience and the buyers fee maxes out at $5k.
You are welcome to message me if you have specific questions.
