I think this car already has the right to be considered a rarity. Perhaps now its price has dropped from a peak to 400-500 dollars, but I think that in 15 years its price will increase significantly. Investing in a car is a good idea. Last year I bought two old Porsches; I'm sure their price will increase as they are collectible. I have long wanted to invest my savings in cars, and the company https://www.mcgeewm.com/investment-m...ancial-advisor that manages my capital has helped me achieve my value by calculating all the benefits from these investments.
Although not everyone can afford that much money to buy a car.

I don't think a car can be called an investment at all! As for me, any car only takes money from you, but at the same time gives you comfort and independence, as well as fast movement from point a to point b.

And I don't think the 991 GT2RS will become collectible as quickly as you say. I think it will happen only in 20 years. And even when this happens for the first couple of years, collectors will not be particularly willing to pay extra money because this model is considered collectible. I just do trading and usually read articles from this site, www.youngandthrifty.ca, which talks about the right investment and what is not.

If you want to spend $400 - $500K on a car as an investment, then your investment strategy is wrong.

The car requires insurance, maintenance, registration fees each and every year.

A better investment would be to buy a house, rent it out and in 20 years time, I can guarantee it will not only be worth more, you would have collected an income along the way and let's not forget you can depreciate the house too!

lol let's put the 3-400k in a passive S&P etf and compare it to the car in 15 years, including all your expenses like gas, insurance, maintenance, parking, etc. Buying a car because you love it is a good idea, buying a car as an investment is a terrible idea from an opportunity cost standpoint.
