Would I be forever shunned?
Wifey really wants an Aventurine Green cabriolet. I considered a base 911, but I would be really crunched for space. Since my 991.2 GT3 is the car I drive the least (muscle cars not withstanding) I was considering trading that in for a 992 Turbo (if I could even get one). Is this sacrilege to even mention on this forum?

LOL. Good point. I haven’t explored the possibility very much yet. I did call the dealer where I got the GT3 and they said I probably wouldn’t get a Turbo cab this year if I went that route. He even thought getting a base cab before September was unlikely. I’m going to call another dealer (where I bought my Cayman GTS and a Cayman S Sport a few years back) and see if I get a similar response.

Just a very different car. Ridiculously quick yet more relaxing and easier to drive. If it fits your lifestyle better, go for it.

Answer = no. Porsche makes so many different models all very capable. The new turbo has received great reviews. Sounds like a heck of a car.
I think the same logic (e.g. not being shunned) also applies when at the track. Not sure if you track but the turbo is comfortable in that setting too.

The 992 TTS is awesome.
Simply sublime. This generation is more GT3 than GT.

I did just the opposite. I replaced my daily driver TTS with a GT3. I find the GT3 just as good of a daily driver and a lot more fun. Yes, it a firmer ride and louder, but I like that.
