991.2 Last of the True Analogs?

Torque vectoring, rear wheel steering, active engine mounts, electric power steering... not analog.

Of course Porsche Motorsport cars are no longer “analog” either. The “good old days” of “gears, grunt, and guts” are long gone.

Some owners like to think the generation after their car is somehow “less”. Been going on since the “real Porsches have 4 cams” days. They are all great, just in different ways.

It kinda depends on what your definition of “analog” is. Some people would say that “analog” cars would require a hand crank to start it or operate the windows. So, coming to a common conclusion about the last “analog” Porsche is pretty hopeless.

That's a pretty random definition - ABS is a highly digital feature. If you want to be literal, it shouldn't have any digital computers. If you want to just describe a car with lots of feel & feedback that relies on the driver to get it right, then it's a very subjective opinion (which will certainly include the 992 GT3 in many people's minds).

I like NA cars. I realized that with the 996 turbo.
I appreciate the new cabin tech of the .2 since I DD a Macan Turbo.
I don't like the new digital gauge clusters as they felt so different than prior models, having
used them for a few days in a loaner Cayenne.
I'm glad the 992 Gt3 won't have the "nub"
