Yep. Been trying to find a used particular model of a LR for months with no luck. I have a family member that can’t even find a Toyota Tacoma for MSRP locally. Sellers market for sure.

If I wanted a GT3 Touring, I would save myself the money and just buy a GT3 and the Carrera parts and swap them over in the garage.

Porsche certainly hit a home run with the T car...it is very very close to the R and yet there are enough out there in the marketplace for people to actually buy one. I am not at all surprised that they are holding their value very very well. If I was in the market for a non RS car the T car would be at the top of my wish list.

I am just one person but I think it is the best car in the world for me and I hope to keep it forever. 14,000 miles and 2 years and still in love! Also I am not excited about the 992 so there is no upgrade path for me. There just aren't very many owners that seem to want to sell so that raises the price.

I agree it’s perfect for me and I get thrilled every time I drive it. No desire to sell or get the 992. Value doesn’t really matter to me as I’m not selling. If it maintains its value that’s just a side benefit, but the real value is in owning and driving it. It is amusing to watch the posts discussing the Touring, but not as much fun as I had taking it out for a few hours today.

Regular winged .2 GT3 market not as hot as the Touring, but they are still holding their value well after 2.5 years.

I love taking mine out, and I have no interest in the 992 GT3, as the power gain is slight, the exterior and interior cosmetics are much worse than the 991, particularly the digital gauges, even larger center screen, and awkward interior bits, including cupholders, and piano keyboard. I have concerns about the sound, but I will wait to hear in person. I’m glad they held the ground on weight but I don’t like that the 992 is an even larger car in dimensions.

I’m sure it will have a better ring time than my car but I don’t care.
I’d rather drive, listen, and look at my car, and I have no stomach for another round of dealer games.

Well said! So many cars these days the experience is becoming more and more like a computer. We don’t all want to live in some digital reality all the time. And I’m not old and I have a tech heavy job!

All “hot” cars are hot now by the way. Touring has always gotten top dollar, but the winged GT3s and RS are also selling like hot cakes.

There are probably many factors at play here but one strong one for me is an increasing disillusionment with modern cars. Digital gauges, screens, and piano black everywhere. Muffled sound and everything turbocharged. I feel like this all happened so fast and is disappointing.

The Touring prices have been strong since delivery. The current situation with COVID shutting down factories around the world, low interest rates and a lot of people with extra money because many are not going out to eat or going on vacations has created both a shortage of vehicles and an increased demand in luxury goods, including cars. Try to buy a new SS Rolex Sub or even a reasonably priced house near by, things that don’t seem to make logical sense financially are happening. From GameStop to silver to Tesla to getting an allocation for ANY 992 Porsche, it just seems like common financial sense has gone away. I love my Touring and would never want to sell it unless I had to but with what is going on, I might sell it and jump into a 964 while putting the rest in APPS or GOOG or APPL. Inflation has to come to play when our government is printing trillions of dollars in aid.

Many forget mooty offered up a touring Miami Blue full wrap with LWB’s and PCCp’s for 10k no one bit. He traded it to the dealer I recall he didn’t like it.
