Just got the February/March issue in the mail, great feature about the best performing cars on the market around the Virginia International Raceway 4.1 mile track.
It’s especially interesting how the times compare to new and old GT car times that are scattered throughout as a point of reference. Has anyone read it? If not I don’t know where you buy magazines anymore if you don’t subscribe to them but it’s a great read should check it out.
If you’ve read it curious your thoughts on the .1 and .2 GT3, 3RS and 2RS times as they are compared to the new GT4, Turbo S, Taycan, 718, C8 Corvette, 765LT, Senna etc. etc. lap times.
Looking at the list of times, I notice that both 991 RS models and the 991.2 GT3 beat the 458 which supposedly has 60 more hp than the .1 RS/.2 GT3.
unsure how much of the time difference was due to superior Porsche handling/downforce vs Ferrari lying about power/weight.
Was also interesting to that the .1 RS and the .2 GT3 had the exact same time, demonstrating that although the .1 RS has more downforce, the .2 GT3 engine is superior to the .1 RS engine.
