but any turbo prior that is stick has exceeded all other series production porsches

the difference between the outgoing 991.2 TT and this 650 HP 992 TT S is enormous,
I don't see the new one dropping as fast for obvious reasons...

Hence, why I would not buy new.

Good thing right now is there are plenty of deals on 2019s with 2 to 3 years still remaining on Warranty. I have been looking at some Cabriolets to keep at a Vacation home. You can easily Chip these to the desired HP of the 992 if one was so inclined

I drove my 991 TTS Cab all the way from Miami to NJ in 18 hours with only stops for gas and food! That is the longest I have driven in a TTS.....but it was fun! hands down the fastest on the road and I did not drive across a single turbo or turbo S on my way down so the comment that Turbo or Turbo S is a common daily driver is bull crap....even base 991s are hard to find on the road, heck even Boxters and Caymans are not as common as the BMW M cars ...so no! the value drops because they are just overpriced out of the factory and there is a huge mark up that Porsche makes on these cars....just like the Cayenne! The more expensive the car, the more money you are going to lose (well in most cases, doesn't apply to the 918).

I also drove my GT3RS from Pittsburgh to NJ before then and the ride was much more fun, perhaps because it was shorter.... and I had my wife with me....but at the end of the day I use them for two different moods .....and when I wanted to trade it in for a Gt2RS I was offered a ridiculous trade in by another Porsche dealer and I walked away ....so yes, they all lose value.....I don't think one loses value more than the other... it all depends on the condition, mileage, options and how desperate the seller is to sell it ....

Turbo value depends on when you buy. Could have bought a 996 turbo 5-6 years ago for $50-60k. That's what they go for now. 997s has also remained about the same for the past 5 years. Its only when you buy it brand new that you take the biggest hit. 991.1 turbos have not dropped (actually gone up) the past year or two. If its anything like a 993 or 964 turbo, itll be worth more in 20 years if you wait that long.

I bet it drops by a similar % as long as production numbers are similar.

I saw the VIR lap time of 2:42 vs. 2:46 for the 991.2 TTS. But the price of the 992TTS, the weight, and also drag coefficient has gone up...driving one would have to be an extreme difference to make a swap.
