Default 991 GT3 SuperSprint headers & HJS cats

I won’t be able to install the system until the muffler is here but thought I’d share a few pictures. They look amazing. If anyone is interested in ordering, Turner has them on sale for dirt cheap and you can request 200cel cats instead of the 100 they come with if you call to order.

There is one downside and thats the wait time. I placed the order back in July and took delivery today so for anyone without patience ...... good luck.

Great exhausts. Brings back my 997 days. What are you running for center muffler? Look forward to hearing some sound clips.

Waiting on the supersprint muffler. According to their website they’ve incorporated a helmholtz chamber in the muffler to keep the drone down. We shall see lol

I was going to use the CMS center but the SS system deletes the valves completely.

I’ll post up vids once everything is buttoned up.

I had no idea you could order anything other than BMW parts from Turner. Supersprint makes the best headers and exhaust components for the E46 M3. Do you have a link to these on Turner's site? This is exciting stuff!

Turner has a great relationship with SS because of the amount product they order. If anyone decides to call ask for Doug to request the 200cel cats and yes the prices you see are correct lol

All the BMW's I have owned have had a SS exhaust installed, They always sounds great, and fit perfectly. The prices on these are Wonderfull, I wonder how the power and sound is?
Weird that they do not use the side delete pipes at all. My guess is you would want the whole kit from SS and not just the headers.

Supersprint does make side delete pipes (no valves) that can be used with their muffler.

I’ve run both the Dundon street and race header systems. So I have something to compare when it comes to the power increase. Unfortunately the cats on the street system failed terribly and the O2 extenders on the race system kept failing. Supersprint was the only company I found with long tube stepped primary headers using HJS cats. I’m pretty sure the power production will be on par with the Dundons and the sound clips will have to wait until everything is installed.

I installed the SS headers and cats the other day using the OEM center muffler. Unfortunately it’s been too cold and there’s salt all over the roadways. I’ll get a cold start and some pictures underneath ASAP. I’m planning on a spark plug and drive belt change in 1k miles so I’ll have pictures of the system without the rear bumper on as well.

I will say that the fitment was the best I’ve had on this car by far. I’ve gone through three header systems until now and these cleared the diffuser and heat shields nicely. Startup is day and night in terms of volume and the standing revs just sound super aggressive like with most longer primary header systems.

Last piece of the puzzle is in. What’s interesting is the muffler doesn’t have any crossover piping between the banks like we usually see. The bottom pipe leads straight out to the tips. The top pipe is straight through to the other side of the muffler. Perforated piping and stainless packing material throughout.
This is going to be interesting to hear lol
