Default Full Wrap and sharing first photos

A couple of days after collecting the car I dropped it off at XPEL Austin. They kept it for about 10 days and completed a full XPEL Ultimate Plus 10mils wrap on the entire car. I hope it holds up good for track use.
I thought I would share some pics. Cheers!

Looks great. My PPF is getting pretty beat up from track use and age. Definitely taking it to them when the time comes.

10 days!!!!- talk about milking it.

Should of taken half that amount of time for a full wrap.

Good luck with the car

Not with removing old film, paint correction and wrapping under all edges
Plus, I did not care how long it took with the deal they gave me. This is my 8th vehicle they wrapped in a short 3 years.

I see you are in Austin. There is another 991.1 that is white as well. We should try and do a drive somewhere.
Take it to XPEL (If they did it originally) and see if they would warranty it.

nice! one thing i would change if i did it again (have my gt3 with full wrap as well) would be to add two additional pieces in the area right in front of the rear wheels. i would have those be the small shark fin shape you see like on speedsters.

this way when that part of the car starts to get beat up and show wear on the xpel you dont have to replace that entire qtr pannel worth of film that also goes up the pillar over the door. its a big piece. that part of the car on mine even when i clean the car up real nice still shows the scuffs in the PPF there. that way when you have the pieces on top you can just periodically change out... wish i had done it on mine and i only have almost 7k street miles.

I agree with you here! I should be getting this done before going to the track right before they ceramic coat the car. I went with the 10mils hoping it will hold up better to abuse as well.

Ten days is not crazy, I had my ceramic coating removed and some very minor paint correction done then fully wrapped with STEK Dynoshield and it took my PPF/Graphics Pro and his paint correction sub contractor eight days. Your car looks gorgeous. Congrats. BTW I had my graphics guy also redo my PORSCHE sticker on my carbon fiber wing in outlined red (OEM is full black tape sticker)...super happy with my result. Here is my GT car after her full wrap and wing sticker redo:

She is a beauty!!! And thank you sir. They worked me in instead of having to wait 2 to 3 weeks to get it wrapped and I did not want to drive it around without a wrap as it picked a chip on the drive home from Houston already. I go back next month for coating. I would have had it done right there and then but they are swamped. Good people and good product for sure.

Too bad about the chip...that happened every time I bought and drove a high end car home so if they aren't fully PPF'd (or at least the frontend) I just have them single container shipped. My GT2 came fully ceramic coated as it sat in a collection so I had to have that stripped to put the PPF on. On the plus side they also CC'd the mag wheels and brake calipers so those clean up super easy. Absolutely love your yellow GT3, such a striking color. I am kinda hooked on GR but Porsche yellow looks stunning. Again, congrats.

I had these two cars Full Wrapped in Stek Dynoshield! It’s been awesome to drive around without the worry of rock chips and scratching the paint while washing! My rs will get protected next week!

10 days is actually quite quick depending on the level of installation. My shop couldn't usually finish a Porsche in 10 days. If you're using plotted patterns it's easy, but if you're removing the front bumper, side mirrors, quarter windows, spoiler, trim etc. it takes a lot more time and the customer expectation is a lot higher. A lot of our clients will also double up film on the rocker panels and behind the rear wheels as this is where the car gets the most impacts so the second layer of film can simply be removed and replaced during track season. Obviously this is not a $6k wrap, but there are plenty of shops cranking out $6k wraps if you need one done in a hurry.
