Hey guys I have been looking for someone that maybe has one laying around that they don’t use but I keep striking out. So soon I will just have to buy one new. This is all new to me so any input would be great. Pretty sure these are both the same on the links , one just says “Porsche” so its more. Im prob not gonna be driving the car as much as the North East is gonna start getting really cold. The car will sit in the winter 1-3 weeks depending on weather/road conditions. I will do research but Im pretty sure its self explanatory. Plug it in electrical then plug the cig adapter under the dash socket or the center console?? Not sure which socket is live when the ignition is turned off. Close door & hit lock button on the key fob & you are good to go?Thanks for the input.

I have the Porsche charger and I've been using the socket in the passenger footwell. The instructions said to close the door and lock it and I've been doing that without any charger issues. You also need to select the correct mode on the charger itself so it knows what kind of battery program to use.
I've been curious if I'd experience any issues with the socket turning off if I didn't lock and close the door, or used the ashtray instead of the footwell. I've heard some people have had issues with the socket turning off after 15 minutes or so, but I haven't had that issue using the method above.

what I've used as well for many years and many vehicles. My question is, do some of the gt3/RS have lithium batteries? If so, my understanding is they have to use a special lithium battery tender such as specific ctek.

I have the CTEK MUS 4.3 charger and emailed CTEK support due to several mentions in the owner's manual about the charger being able to support AGM or Absorbent Glass Mat batteries. Below is my question and their response in case anyone else has the same charger or a CTEK charger with the same charging modes.
Q: I have the MUS 4.3 test and charge unit. I recently purchased a 2018 Porsche 911 GT3. The owner's manual seems to stress that the charger needs to support AGM or Absorbent Glass Mat batteries. Am I good to go using the MUS 4.3?
A: Yes, the MUS 4.3 Test & Charge is designed to maintain both lead-acid and AGM batteries up to 160Ah. You will want to use both the Car Mode and the Snowflake mode simultaneously when charging your AGM battery. Please see page 14 in your user manual for more information on charging programs and options combinations.

Ok cool. So when I do use the CTEK. I see it has the option of the car mode and AGM mode. Should I highlight both when I use it or just do car mode? Thanks.
