New to me '18 gt3... question
Took her out this morning for a test drive and I noticed that at speed, with the clutch engaged and the sport button activated, it won't let you rev the engine. After two - three prods of the gas pedal it'll finally let the engine rev out. With the sport button off, the engine will rev freely while at speed and with the clutch in. What's up with that? I'm guessing it has something to do with the auto blip function being on vs off but would love to know the skinny. It's a completely different gear box, but my 18 GTS manual would rev freely in sport plus mode (auto blip) at speed...
As far as the car goes, it's a screamer. I couldn't even get to 8k rpms in third gear without running out of road first. And the handling was lights out. Epic early morning starbucks runs await!
Also, I was surprised to see that LCA was missing from the build at $185k. With the buckets there's very little visibility to check your driver side blind spot when changing into the left lane. It's border line dangerous. Was LCA not offered? I have my suncoast shopping cart filled with goodies, the aspheric blind spot mirror for the driver side being one of them. It's not cheap with adding auto-dimming but it's a must have or am I just getting old?

Race Car
OP: To answer your question - LCA was not an option on the GT3.

If the mirrors are adjusted correctly you should not have a blind spot. if you see the side of the car in the mirror, then the mirror is not adjusted properly.

LCA. That’s a good one. 🤣
I learned from my coach at my forst DE event many many years ago on how to properly adjust the mirrors. As Todd B said, you should not see your car. They should be adjusted out so as you pass a car you see it in your mirror and as it disappears you see it in your peripheral vision. Many people have their mirrors adjusted improperly. There’s no reason to see your own car. As much as the next lane as possible and if you need to see right to your car a slight lean forward and your car becomes visible.

i'm definitely not a fan of more sensors and cameras ruining the body work, even those little parking sensor circles on my M3's bumpers get to me. The top down view on the M3/M4 is very nice for parking situations, even when you are going down narrow streets. But this is just more sensors, wiring, etc .. basically more weight.
LCA should be kept out... i dont want a cheap warning light on my A-pillar going off all the time. same with the crash mitigation tech, my GFs acura tlx has this feature and its always flashing at me if i push the car on some windy roads.
In short... if you are worried about parking, scraping, heavy traffic to where you need a blind spot helper.... then leave the GT3 at home and take your other car. Save the GT3 for emptier streets where you can enjoy it.
