Cold start smoking

also, if you start it, and then turn it off without letting it run for a min, sometimes you will get some smoke the next time to start it. For example, turning your car on to move it a few feet and then shutting it off. The next morning, there is about a 10% chance that I will have some smoke.
My 996 never smokes on cold start, except if I do what you mentioned above. It’s a fuel dump issue due to a rich mixture.
My 88 Carrera used to smoke sometimes on cold start. I believe that was oil-related.
