Have you ever asked the dealer what could be the source of that smoke?

Let it idle for a minute before your next overnight shutdown.

You'll find it won't smoke.

also, if you start it, and then turn it off without letting it run for a min, sometimes you will get some smoke the next time to start it. For example, turning your car on to move it a few feet and then shutting it off. The next morning, there is about a 10% chance that I will have some smoke.

Will be interesting to see the root cause which has been undetermined from what I have heard or seen on these topics.

991.1 GT3 smoked like a chimney
991.1 GT3 RS never
991.2 GT3 RS never
991 Speedster never

Just as an Fyi, my GT2 never smokes at startup, and I never let mine idle for very long before I shut her off, the opposite I usually blip her a few times just to let everyone in the condo know the GT car is back in her closet, haha

I find this scenario almost guarantee a smoke on the next start if it is a week or longer.

Mine smoked yesterday morning at a cold start. It smoked so bad, I had to shut the windows LOL.
my 991.1 did it as well and my dealer told me it is very normal. The oil on the flat six will settle at the bottom and cause the smoking. Make sure it is not a blue smoke and you are good to go.

My 2019 Touring does the same and I too think it looks awesome. Engine runs perfectly, 8,000 miles on the odometer.

Flat 6 in the Past all my Mezger engines on startup on occasion smoked.
On my current 991 Gen I usually don''t see smoke.
