Default Steering Wheel

Hi Guys,

Can you recommend a place that can re-wrap the alcantara wheel, preferably on the east coast.

Thanks

I’ve heard a lot of people recommend Dallas Custom steering wheel. Yes, I know they’re not on the east coast. Exclusive option could also do it, they’re known for high quality work.

I also follow a guy on YouTube that does a lot of custom upholstery work, his website is here and he’s in NY.

https://www.auto-fanatic.com/product...ce-and-custom/

I don’t have personal experience with any of them, but they’re all companies I’ve heard positive reviews of.

I can definitely recommend Dallas steering wheel. I actually need to send them my Raptor steering wheel in to have redone. The last owner of the GT3 replaced the alcantara wheel with a leather wheel and leather just lasts so much longer on a car that gets used with bare hands.

I bought a bare leather 991.2 leather wheel for $500 and swapped all the electronics over, very happy
I kept my original for when I would sell the car

Where did you buy a bare leather one? Was it OEM?

Thanks!

Did you swap it out yourself or have a shop do it? Wondering if there is a DIY tutorial. Thanks!

The price was $579 but they accepted $500 plus shipping
The normal one without red stitching should be even cheaper
I did it myself, took me a couple of hours
If I had to do it again it would take me no more than one hour
There are DIY video's around

The OEM leather CF GT2 RS wheels are only $5K...haha. I believe suncoast has them. That is one option I wish I had on mine. At some point I will just bite the bullet and buy one...just because. For now I just wear driving gloves to keep the sweat off my alcantara.
