Default Dual 991 GT3 & 981 GT4 Owners?

Good Day,
Curious if any 2014 model year 991 GT3 owner's also own the 2016 981 GT4?
I am fortunate to own both, and the 991 GT3 is a very new addition.
Would like to speak with one or more dual owners if possible via PM.

Thanks in advance, and I sincerely appreciate any feedback

I owned an early 2015 991.1 GT3 and 2016 GT4 concurrently. Great cars but quite different. Both used on track for HPDEs. Both gone now (replaced with 991.2 GT3 and 718 GT4 Clubsport.)

Sometimes less is more. I'm still trying to best my GT4 track times in the GT3. That being said I'm not looking back, GT3 is a way better experience on both track and street.

My sig has my answer. Had a lot of fun with the 15 GT3 and one of the GT4s. The other GT4 got stuck deep in my garage and was traded in with not a lot more miles than when I bought it.

My assessment might be better were they both manual, but my GT3 is PDK (since I already had the manual GT4).

One of the things I like most about the GT4 is it feels so naturally controllable. On the track it feels smaller, lighter, and more talkative. The GT4 is scalpel precise. The GT3 is a nuclear-powered sledgehammer.

The GT4 is the more forgiving car. You can drive it like an oafish brute and the combination of mid engine and balanced power gives you a huge safety net. The GT3 will not hesitate to bite if you get choppy with throttle or steering inputs (particularly when it comes to autocross when all the nannies are deactivated).

Comparing to my 981 Boxster GTS I'm not that much faster in my GT4. But my 981 GTS is a flawless performance spec in my opinion. So for me it makes sense to keep the manual GTS and GT3.

I don't find the suspension in the GT4 to deal with bumps and waves in the road as well as the X73-equipped GTS or GT3. Particularly mid corner bumps. Frankly I think the X73 981 handles mid corner bumps or waves in the road better than either the GT3 or GT4, but the GT3 handles them better than the GT4.

Whether I am faster in the GT3 or GT4 at autocross is entirely dependent on the course. The track is a different story. The GT3 is an animal and I am way faster in the GT3 at the track. Entirely different experiences. Whatever I ask the GT4 to do it does, and the sensation is like I'm really involved and doing it myself. The GT3 is exhilarating in a completely different manner. To a certain degree at my skill level I'm always terrified in the GT3. But in a good way. I don't yet feel as connected to the GT3 as the GT4 in terms of feeling like I'm telling the car what to do. In the GT4 I feel like the car does exactly what I want and tells me in real time and with plenty of warning I might need to change some of my inputs. Meanwhile, in the GT3 it's more a matter of the car saying, "OK buddy, don't lose your ***** because we're doing this ****."

Put another way, this would be an example of what is going through my mind after a great heat at the track.

GT4: I am a driving god. No one has ever had more control of their car. It is an extension of me.

GT3: Jesus f***ing Christ how am I alive? My time was what?!

For canyon carving and weekend drives I prefer the Boxster GTS to either of the GT cars.

That felt more like rambling than answering a question. I could be way more detailed with specific questions related to aspects of the cars.

Entirely different cars. GT3 raw, faster, tougher to drive but more fun to drive on track . GT4 is a better dual purpose car. PDK-S is not great on the street , manual is far easier and more engaging to drive. Probably one of the reasons the Touring sold well.

I initially never wanted the 4 but stumbled on an early car and bought it. I have bought and sold the blue GT3 above and an RS since and kept the 4. Would never have predicted that...

This is a spot on comparison/contrast, and exactly the type of feedback was seeking. Thank you so much for submitting your excellent analyses!
