Default Gear indicator (on shifter) moving slightly

The metal (think it's metal) gear indicator on top of the shifter is moving very slightly, ie 0.5mm. Looked and there is no obvious way of tightening it up, anyone had the same?

Thanks
Ben

PDK or Manual?

I'm assuming Manual since you said shifter. Post a pic if possible.

It's secured inside by a couple of tabs. They break when you pull the silver portion out. If forcing it back down does not work, that means a tab broke inside.

You can fix it by taking it out and feeding it some super glue. Or just buy a new one, they are relatively cheap compared with the carbon one.

The way to pop it open it to pry with something plastic at the top until it pops out.

I had this as well, and the dealer replaced the **** under warranty. Needed to wait a week to get the part from Germany, but it's a 5 min job.

Just watched a YouTube Video of a dutch car dealer advertising a crayon 992s and guess what i've seen on the shifter @1:49? I thin white line…

see for yourself:

Seems to happen not only occasionally!?
