I have to agree that the Bay Area has cops who actively look for anything to bust motorists, having lived there myself- front plate tickets to minor over the speed limit infractions, it never seems to be a hassle for them to stop people in sports cars.

Bad luck sometimes can't be avoided, however, how about Waze and good situational awareness? I haven't been pulled over in the GT4 or the Civic Type R (both with wings).

on the major highways cops won’t usually hassle folks for less than 15 over around here, but yeah that rolling over from 79 to 80 starts to ruffle feathers. Wing or no wing.

Yes I am inclined to think that it is 50% bad luck and 50% wing. Just going to drive it at the posted speed limit from now on unless backroad.

Even with an RS Size Wing on my GT3 and a "Weissach" Carbon-Fibre Livery I've never been pulled over
in 35,000 Miles driving RS-sized Winged GT3.1's and GT3.2"s thanks to my V1 Radar Detector and learning
to separate typical falsies from Police Radar locations has, not accepting frequent "race" challenges from
other fast cars wanting to "beat a GT3", limiting lane changes and cruising speeds to 10 Over, avoiding
driving in the Left Lane except for brief periods when passing, have all worked well to keep my driving
record clean and reduce my Insurance costs,

No issues with cops, but it has brought more attention to others who try to instigate a race (bmw/mercedes for some reason).

Good advice indeed.

Did 3000 miles all over the south like this with confetti triangles on the hood and roof. I didn’t have a single problem but the rallies I’ve done out west CHP has been more of a hassle. Could he people doing triple digits though.

You need to move to California brother.. With your car in the SF Bay Area, it would border on unusable and constitute a direct challenge to the authority of LE.

California really, really needs the money so your fellow taxpayers thank you and promise this time it won't be spent as wasted funds.

FYI, anytime I engage 6th gear, I'm quite probably in the extra-legal speed range as I find myself doing a full scan for potential LEs around me......

Pulled over three times in GT3 since late 2014. Talked the LEO out of a ticket each and every time. They like the car, wing and all.

Pulled over in my Cayenne three times, one LEO talked down to a $25 tinted windows without removal requirement, one LEO talked down to a $25 front plate ticket, one LEO went to Trial and kicked my *** in front of a hanging Judge. It’s not the wing, it’s the cop, and the state you live in.

For People’s Republic of NCal it’s worth looking into joining 11-99 Foundation if you haven’t already. It has helped me many times in similar situations.
