Why so few 991.2 GT3s for sale?

Specify CPO and there are just 3 manual fs nationwide (cars.com). 2 winged, 1 touring. And none of them have buckets.
Market has actually become more sparse since I acquired ~3 months ago -- CPO, wing, manual, buckets, fal, extended fuel.
Touring or wing the spec you detail is an unsurpassed driving experience. Also easily passes the sniff test in terms of long-term desirability. An easy keeper. Checks all of the boxes, belongs to the subset of timeless 911's, imo. When will sliding into bucket seats, rowing gears with 9,000's revs not sound like a good time?
Maybe not 997 4.0 or 911R special, but how far off? Can't be much. (Admittedly, not speaking from experience with the other two.)
I don't know what I'd trade for... for the time being, there is no alternative.

I think the buyers like me who bought them used and fairly well below MSRP ($10-20k back) are the buy and hold crowd. A significant number of the guys who ordered manuals were thinking the 911R money could strike and they could cash in or drive one for free for a period. Some did, but we all know that party ended pretty quickly. If you want a manual, where do you go from here? I guess you wait for the 992 GT3 manual, which is probably going to be far pricier. If you paid $150-160k for a well-optioned car and trade it today the real trade figure is probably going to be in the $130's, and what the hell does $135k buy you today? Hell, a new GT4 costs nearly that much now.

The peanut gallery on BaT can throw a lot of shade on a nice car with speculation and innuendo, which is my biggest issue with that format. You see a lot of the same BS from the same guys, who's only purpose appears being the self-appointed expert on any given model. They've usually bid on lots of things, but never bought or sold anything. I put an extraordinary 1-owner 360 Spider for our store last year. It was truly a holy grail example (2k car I sold new, red/beige, every record from new, every option, CPO,)and I got blasted from a couple of idiots for "offending the community" for charging a $150 doc fee. They questioned why the engine had been pulled for a service (which was because the owner wanted to do as extensive a service as possible, and wasn't concerned with cost) and of course there were a dozen comments whining about how awesome it would be if it was a manual.

Not many 2019s were made, especially Tourings. I was very patient and finally landed a ‘19 GT3T. I’ll never sell it.

IMO, the standard Touring interior with the "retro-corduroy-like" seat inserts, black brushed metal trim and NO ultrasuede (except for the damn headliner) is perfection. To me it screams "purpose-built driver's car." If I wanted leather radio ***** I would have ordered a TTS...

I had a 2018 GT3 with standard dash and sold it to get a 2019 allocation. I ordered the leather. I much prefer the leather. Cant speak to longevity but it really changes the character of the interior. I also got the red stitching. I can see why some might prefer the more raw standard interior however.

Plus dealing with all of the dealer allocation/list nonsense. I waited almost 1.5 years for my winged manual with buckets, from walking into the dealership on day 1 to delivery day. Makes it hard to get rid of. Get rid of for WHAT is the question, too. Nothing comes to mind including the 992 (can’t stand the interior).

Took the words right out of my mouth.

Use the 997 and 991 interiors for an example, Porsche didn’t do much except add alcantara, and with the 991 PDK cars, they also added a much cooler shifter.
I doubt they will anything else for the 992 cars because of #porscheprofitmargin. They will add alcantara and give us a nicer shifter/PDK shifter, but I expect the 90% digital screen, and silly piano keyboard to remain. The 992 GT car interiors will look less like a race car than all previous GT cars.

dunno.
Gradual improvements are the name of the game with Porsche. I expect the 992.1 GT3 to just get the 991.2 RS software tweak so power will be similar to RS, and aero will be better.
Doubt the 992.1 GT3 will be significantly faster than a 991.2 GT3 with Dundon headers, and antigravity battery, just much uglier than the 991.2 GT3.
