If you indeed did simply break a bolt or stripped the welded/threaded nut, and did not break the clamp itself, you can do what I did.
Take a drill and bore out the welded/threaded nut a bit and then simply use a "regular" bolt and nut combo.
the key word is "v band clamp". I have a feeling a standard piece that is from $5 to $20 would work as well as the $160 to $350 Porsche part.
for example https://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchan...de=CLC-CLA-013. also available on AMZN for double the price shipped in a very large box

Have you tried it? My feeling is that it wouldn't work, as V band clamps are usually quite narrow for thin rolled or machined flanges. The OEM clamp is wider and has a rounded profile. Maybe a market need here...

Yes it is a kludge. Trying it out next week. Photos to follow next week.
to further the kludge, perhaps a 3-5/8" and 3-1/2" o-ring set would produce the same physics without damaging the side muffler flange. It is all just to pass California smog.
proves how abusive Porsche is on parts. Depending on what dealer, the part is $180 to $350 each. A Mercedes dealer typically charges $35-65 each. The part is 100% identical from the same tooling, just a different part number stamp
A Porsche dealer will also charge $1800 for a paper template for an emblem placement (true story!)
