Why is the 911r so cheap in Europe vs us? Plenty for sale in the euro 325-375 ask range.
Sport classics look to be about parity
Said the 997.2 4.0 RS.... Huge delta there. I think we can just say Americans have way more money to spend on Porsche and collect cars instead of drive them.
I’d say very high car taxes and wealth taxes, and less willingness for to pay crazy over MSRP = more taxes. Also people here spend more time driving vs sitting in garages. I spend 10 days a month in the EU they drive rain or shine and park in tight spaces it’s just a car to many here.

i was looking at 992 gt3rs, gt4rs, 911 r, 992 sport classic and i threw in an m4 csl. the 2 stand outs about the eu market: csl is a 200k euro car and r is a 325-375k euro car and there are a bunch for sale, everything else is about the same, maybe a touch cheaper. this all just struck me as interesting and probably not related to taxes.
beating myself up because I passed on a 911r with 30k miles for $334k mies last week. car sold almost immediately. how good of a deal was that?
I think the most valuable option (from a driving and monetary standpoint) is the SMF. Next would be the carbon buckets as opposed to the comfort seats. Of course PTS would be on the top of the list as well but the flywheel and seats affect the driving experience. So if it had those, I would say yes that was a hell of a deal. And I love the 30k miles--you can actually drive it!

Why? Easy because flippers, collectors, C&C showoffs, Instagram posers, investors, etc. Europeans generally treat cars as cars and not an investment class or garage art plus they aren't as impulsive buyers like many in the US are.
Possibly, I have a friend whose R is white and Mexico blue wheels and stripes. His reasons white was the original color of the R, and it’s his only non PTS Porsche. He’s owned every numbered Porsche, and has every 992 limited car. He says it’s the one car he will never sale, and he has a ton miles on it. Some like cars because PTS may not always be important.
