I’m talking about hitting some deserted corners at proper apex speed in the middle of the night while avoiding the cops. If that makes anyone nervous you’re in the wrong place.

Cheers everyone!

You never forget your first love. Bought it new in ‘93 from Des Plaines Honda on NW HWY.

I think this was the beginning of the liter bike evolution.

I do exactly what you do except I don’t live in an upscale neighborhood so I don’t want people to know I have such a car that is worth the down payment on my home so that is the reason for hiding it.

and yeah “hooning” to me is taking a few fast corners when I have absolute view of what’s coming up, making sure there’s no oncoming traffic or bikes in the way on familiar roads where I know exactly what turns are coming up.

top speed is speed limit + 10, which seems to be the speed the local mountain people take in their lifted trucks or SUVs. Really impressed they can go that fast. Don’t want to hold them up so I try to keep up.

Stunner! I love bikes from that era - I daydreamed over the brochures from local dealers starting a few years before I was old enough to drive.

I was in Chicago for 12 years - back home in Texas now. You in Chicago?

I'm in the Seattle area now. I moved from Chicago - Denver - Phoenix - Houston (Heights area) - Gig Harbor. I'm in TX quite a bit for work.

I grew up in Chicago and have many friends and family still there. Lifetime Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls fan. Was there when Jordan was in his prime. Saw games at the old Chicago Stadium and current United Center. Blackhawks games on Thursday nights at the old stadium was unreal. It literally felt like the wooden rafters would come down. Looking forward to the ESPN series on #23.

Best song about a car by a long way....I'll be exercising my hoon strategy for a nice ride through the hills tomorrow.

Magnus has made a life of being a "hoon " on his videos. Porsche has him honored at many functions. So yes, Porsche corporate has endorsed hooning in a round about way.

there is an undeveloped neighborhood a few miles away. its 2 lanes in and out, plus winds all the way in and out with 3 or 4 round abouts. totoally off the highway, no one drives down it, as it deadends a few miles to the end, and there are no houses built yet. Been that way for a few years. Its like having a race track in your back yard. I drove by it for years, never went down the road. As for speeding, I could see where living in a flat, straight state would be an issue. I go to the smokeys and blue ridge, so the desire to crank down the highway is exhausted after a good 400 mile mountain ride.

900's were a strange thing suzuki owned the 750 class by late 90's. cbr600s owned the c superbike, c superstock wolrd in the early 90's. the 1000's really did not hit race development unitl the early 2000's. the cbr was a stepping stone bike. forced alot of the liter bikes to drop weight, and redesign chasis. I miss racing, but dont miss all the broken bones.

Thank you very much sir. It is actually not a PTS color. I did a peel-able paint job on top of the original color. So once i peel off the dark green paint it goes back to white.

Oh yeah I saw that thread - I couldn’t see the green either. I see it now. Congratulations on your new camera.
