Default Two Year Service Cost

I think at the 2 year mark, you need spark plugs replaced and a brake fluid flush for a .2 GT3 or RS. Anyone have recent estimates on how much this was from the dealer versus a normal oil change?

My dealer in Denver quoted me $1900 for my Touring.

Personally I skipped the brake fluid unless your tracking car. (I’m which case you probably already did)

I can’t understand why this car would need a brake fluid flush after two years of street driving.....

I was just talking with my local Service guy yesterday on this. There is some debate about whether the plugs really need to be changed at 2-year mark, if you aren't tracking the car. Service guy here says about $1500 for the 2-year service typically, which includes brake fluid flush.

Most Porsche models now have a 2-year interval on brake fluid, to prevent corrosion. Hell even a Cayenne recommends this, I think.

Lots of good indy's that can change the plugs, filters and brake fluid for a lot less than that. Save the dealer visits for warranty and electronic problems.

In order to maintain the warranty do we just have to show up at the dealer for the oil change at the two-year mark? Will they honor the warranty if we have an independent mechanic change the oil ?

In the US you can have you oil changed at place of choosing. unless something gets screwed up during the oil change, you have a warranty. Keep your receipts.

Two year interval for plus sounds mighty short.

WARRANTY doesn't change regardless of who serviced the car.
brake fluid will suck and retain water losing effectiveness. they are cheap, I flush my every year not tracked, if tracked, every other event, if raced, every weekend.

Brake fluid is hygroscopic and should be changed in all car, motorcycle, RVs...everything with brakes every two year, not just you're Porsche.

You probably don't.

All true. However, just test the fluid for moisture content in a street car application.
