I will be interested to see what you think of the PDK. I moved from a 997.2 to a 991.1RS. I live in downtown Atlanta - so traffic getting to great places to drive these cars is always an issue for me. That fact drove me towards a PDK car. I tried a Turbo S because I loved the 997 platform but just missed the GT car feel (and sounds) too much. Now that I have lived with the RS for a year and a few thousand miles - I have to admit I love the PDK. Its intuitive, light speed shifts, and frankly so much more fun for a driver like me as I approach my personal limits in the car. It allows me to focus on driving the car and not worrying about missing a shift. Probably a cop-out, and I never thought I would say it, but in this car the PDK is great. I would also agree with others that the 991 is, and does feel, bigger. That being said, it does feel incredibly well planted and more stable at speed than any 997 I have been in. Steering feel goes to the 997 in my opinion, but the awesome mechanical grip of the 991RS will quickly make you forget about it. Enjoy the weekend drives and I look forward to your thoughts.

weigh in on the PDK-S:

Hate the traffic jams around here, really hated them in the GT4.

Love the PDK pop on upshift.

Track usage speaks for itself.
