I notice a lot of stones sitting just inside the lip of the intake trim/plastic piece. I haven't checked the air filter chamber to see if they are making it all the way back there. I also get a lot of them in the front fender vents and even between the bottom of the door and door sill.
Not a huge deal to me, I just knock them out every once in a while.

Part of having the airbox plumbed to the fender vents. On the turbos, all manner of road detritus gathers on top of the intercooler cores in the same manner. My 997 actually has clean-out plugs in the ducting so you can suck the trash out without having to pull and disassemble.

Just picked up a 1600 mile RS and the dealer performed a walk around of the car detailing the rock chips. Hood, windshield, lower front fenders where the door and fender meet, wheels, in and around the intakes. Really surprised the amount of chips with 1600 miles. Car will be professionally touched up and PPF'd but geez. Windshield and front spoiler have since been replaced by the dealer. Here is the walk around video

Just saw the video car is cherry, and I’m sure you got a deal I loved my UV 2016. Weird and surprised previous owner didn’t at least do the full front kinda half *** which the dealer must have done?

Thank you and Agreed. At minimum, they should have done the entire hood. And yes, done prior to the original owner taking delivery at the dealership.

Your comments are like therapy for someone like me. I just took a deep breath and feel better now. It doesnt have to be perfect and I'm fortunate to be enjoying in good health. Thank you

Seriously man enjoy it’s a great car ........I’ve learned once you get a chip or two you learn it’s a car and just enjoy it. Only you know where they are. My RS has 100% PPF going 130 MPH you will take some chips .......doesn’t bother me anymore.

I’ve got a bunch of minor pitting below the intake where it flares out in front of the rear wheel. I even have PPF there, but it’s really inadequate and doesn’t fully cover that area. It is what it is though. I may eventually do a full PPF, but not going to worry about it too much. I figure it’s just going to happen when the car gets driven.
I agree with the poster above, kind of a badge of honor that the car gets driven, rather than just being a garage queen piece of artwork.

Color is really nice Voodoo Blue seems to really command a premium.
Several track days coupled low miles explains those chips. It's going to happen no way around it.
Enjoy it use it and have fun don't leave it locked away like I have with some vehicles.
