Which at 9000 rpm's is a whopping 5.2 seconds.
Range 1 ignitions are not a concern. Period. PDK or manual.

+1 Frank is right on this one, there aren’t many 2016s on the market.

Yup, if you do 1-2 WOT in first with cold tires and you are there.

9000+ RPM (revolutions per minute)
785 (over rev) over 9000rpm
9000rpm/60sec=150 rotaions per second
785/150= 5.23 sec @ 9000RPM's
However, this would be over 9000, so it'e actually less time.

Yep, I'm not sure how long the car would be exposed to the over-rev in each instance. Probably a fraction of a second. So, probably takes at least double-digit number of over-revs to accumulate this number of ignitions. Given how quickly the car approaches redline in the lower gears, it seems like a pretty reasonable number of ignitions with normal (fun) driving.

I think with all the digital data on cars now , ppl get too bent over on over revs.
I think I do it quite often on upshifts.
down shift, I don't think nso.
haven't blown any engines yet.
