+1 for the Akra bypass and tips fitted on my 991.2.

Great sound but initially not as loud as I had hoped so I plugged the vacuum lines to the valves and problem solved.

Not inexpensive, but the the quality is beyond Porsche OEM.

You're basically replicating a SuperCup set-up and yes it's very loud. Really not appropriate for the street and you'll never pass any sound check at track days.

Much prefer the side deletes (link pipes) with stock or Akra center muffler. Plenty loud without being completely nutter.

I am getting really concerned I am deaf. I don’t think the race slip-on (CMB) and link pipes (SMB) are not terribly loud at low engine speed and that is now starting to worry me... haha

Not nearly as loud as the muffler deletes would make you expect it should be. The stock cats do a lot more than one would think to dampen the sound. Major change over stock are no valves so the exhaust is always on, no change in tone at 4K w/ PSE valves. You hear more engine inside car and the PDK sport downshifts are louder, but it is not obnoxious. Friend w/ GT4 and Dundon headers is far louder.

Major change over stock is no side mufflers and no center muffler. It's exactly what we run on our Cup and it's loud.

As many others have mentioned the Akra center bypass does not drone. I am running this along with the tips and can tell you that it adds noticeable sound (above 3.5k and on cold start), and saves a good amount of weight.

Whatever you do do not skip the tips. They are slightly larger in diameter with rolled and slightly angled tips. With heat cycling they blue on the inner walls. Very beautiful .

Here is a picture of mine.

Need to amend my post above about center being underwhelming. After long spirited drive this weekend, I'd say the center is perfectly suited for modest Touring. Valves open and it sounds very nice. Valves work above 4K RPMs. Drive with windows down and it sounds amazing when you are around say 6k RPMs. Not too loud, not too soft. Everyone tells me it's quite loud, but certainly doesn't sound loud in quite Touring cabin, especially with windows up. Also the Akra tips are a work of art. Make the stock ones look and feel like scrap metal. Lol

I have Akra centre bypass and side link pipes. Sounds amazing. Have had lots of positive feedback on sound at the track. It is loud though when compared to stock. Manageable if you're trying to be quiet in the neighbourhood, won't be quiet but doesn't have to be very loud.

I hope the Akra center muffler should not be prone to get blown out like the stock RS Ti ones

Will stock tips fit the Akra muffler?

Anyone end up trying the Akra race slip on with the soul valved sides? I have the Akra center and it feels like it’s almost there but needs a little more low end sound. (Especially at lower RPMs)

i used the akrapovic center bypass with a TPC valved side muffler delete. the loudest portion comes from cold start up and it partial drones if you in auto mode and it lugs and shifts at early RPM. but when you're flying up the revs is when it gives off an amazing racecar howl. I switched the settings up recently so I am putting the TPC valved side muffler deletes for sale as I added catted headers for the power gain otherwise I would of left alone
