Has anyone tried the Akra center muffler with valved side bypass like the Soul Performance, etc?

I hope the Akra center muffler should not be prone to get blown out like the stock RS Ti ones

Will stock tips fit the Akra muffler?

Honestly, the side mufflers is what keeps the noise down. Once you bypass the sides it get super loud.

Subjectively speaking :
Just race bypass. Maybe 15-20% louder than stock on avg.
Race bypass with link pipes. I would say 100-120%
Full evo system I would say 25-35% louder with valve on and 70-80% open

I have heard a .2 RS with a sharkwerks bypass and I would place that at around 30-40% louder than stock

Honestly the Evolution system might be still too quiet for half the people on here, In that case just get the race header set. I doubt the race header set will pass the DB restriction on most tracks which was also a factor for me.
interesting. Thank you for the write up!

So if I’m hearing you correctly, the Akrapović race center bypass is quieter than the Sharkwerks? The design looks fairly similar so I thought they may have the same tone/volume but it sounds like not?

Also, with the full Akra evolution system, do you get the OEM ability to turn the valves on and off? It sounds like from your post you do. I didn’t know that.

Yes the Akra race bypass much quieter than the sharkwerks bypass on the same vehicle . I suspect some confusion on sound levels are between the various models gt3 vs. .2 RS as they are not the same stock.

Full Akra Evolution system allows use of OEM button to control the valve just like stock.

Hope that helps

Yes we have had customers run the Akrapovic race header w link pipes w the rear muffler and it sounded incredible.

We have also run the oe header w link pipe and this muffler and sounded great too (little quiter than with the 100 cell cats)

This is probably a stupid question, but what exactly are “link pipes” and how do they fit in with the whole GT3 exhaust scenario?

Yes they will fit the Akrapovic muffler or the race slip on

There are no stupid questions! The link pipes are used in lieu of the side mufflers. So you can use the link pipe between the header/cat and the center muffler section.

These are the link pipes:
