Default WTB 2016 GT3RS with iron brakes

Hey all,

Been looking at the 991.1 GT3 RS market and have found that most of the cars for sale are at dealerships and are equipped with PCCB ceramics. I thought I might post a WTB ad to see what’s available from private sellers.

Must haves:
Steel brakes, well maintained, no-paintwork/no-accidents, low miles (under 5k), silver or white, front axle lift

Nice to have:
Full bucket seats, CPO or extended warranty, full clear bra

Location:
Prefer car in SoCal, but willing to consider any option within 1000 miles

Let me know what you have... Thanks!

What’s the problem with PCCB and shipping a car nationwide?
Widens your options!

Yes, lots of PCCB equipped cars out there… and have identified a couple of candidates. Now, just throwing this out there to see if I can be more picky with my criteria.

A few reasons for my preference to iron brakes: 1) I plan to track the car occasionally (5x per year) – I prefer not to replace the rotors with aftermarket substitutes; 2) fear of accidentally damaging a CCB rotor during wheel changes or gravel from the track; and 3) lower MSRP car should translate a lower purchase price for me (i.e., $191k MSRP car vs $200k MSRP car).

These cars are old enough now that the price delta due to options is fairly minimal.
Find one with PCCB's and get aftermarket rotors. You will be replacing rotors with track use anyway.

For not that much more (or even pretty similar price) you can get a PCCB one and just sell rotors online.

I dont think if you shop a bit you have to pay more for a PCCB car and if its the right deal it paus for steel rotors.

The problem I see with pccb optioned cars is that if the car came equipped with them from factory I would like to see pccbs installed if I was buying used. Replacing iron brakes/rotors is still not cheap imo

Take them off, leave on shelve or like I did, sell them for 10K.
Rotor conversion is relatively cheap and ongoing if you track, no?
Steels only last about 16-20 days..

How about just use the PCCBs.

Delta between the two is far less than just selling the ceramics or putting on shelf to have that option as originally built when selling (if). The 997rs speccd with them and sitting on steels are getting far less than not. A bit of a turnoff to be honest. But, that’s what negotiations are all about.
