Default Jackpoint Jack Stands Review for GT3RS - They’re awesome!

It took me awhile to post this review but they’re excellent. I don’t have room for a lift and wanted to do as much work to the car myself as possible because I hate taking a long road trip to the stealership and paying for work i’d Rather do myself.

i was concerned about jacking or standing the car from any location other than factory jack points - Jack Points solves this problem. I can do oil changes, wheel removal, exhaust install, hopefully Dundon plenum install, and, I believe I will be able to swap the spark plugs - Basic maintenance I enjoy doing and saves me a 4 hour round trip drive to the stealer.

They are simple to use, very stable, and allow you to get the car up without having to jack or stand from non-factory jackpoints. You simply place the custom jack puck on a regular floor jack, lift the car from one corner, slide the stand *around* the jack, lower the jack *through* the stand leaving the car resting on the puck on top of the stand. Then eat the other 3 corners. Piece of cake.

John was a pleasure to deal with and super helpful. When I was placing my order the stands were back/ordered, I called him to check lead times, I was anxious to get the parts since I didn’t want to drive any more miles before doing my 1000 mile break-in oil change. I called on a Friday, John drove out to the factory on Saturday to pick me up a set so I didn’t have to wait for the truck to be fully loaded with inventory. I received the stands the following Monday or Tuesday. Excellent. Highly recommended. Thanks John!

I love mine too. If someone is looking to save a few bucks, you only really need one pair of Jackpoints (raising one side of the car from the designated rear side jacking point raises that whole side of the car and a standard jack stand can then be placed under the front side jacking point).

Click on the “jackpoint store” tab at this link but first check out John’s demo of how they work on Jay Leno’s show:

I agree, they're great. I bought a set (2) since i didn't feel one Jackpoint for each corner was necessary.

However, i was initially disappointed since i was unable to use my USA made Hein Werner 3-ton jack.
The jack wouldn't fit which forced me to buy a cheaper jack that would.

These jack stands look like they would work nicely to raise all four corners of the car by using the factory jack points. I like that idea of using the points designed into the car for lifting, removing most of any risk with damage to the underside.

I bought 4 a few years ago by mistake (wanted to buy 2 stands but managed to order 2 pairs), but really liked the ease of use and stability they provided. As a result, I kept all 4.

I've had a set of 4 since I had my 2011 997.2 GT3. They are awesome and make getting the car up on 4 jack stands super easy.
