Interesting if true kinda early, normally they come end off model life

Yea I don't how accurate this is, as you said it's normally the last hurrah for the model line. I was at a Porsche event last night where the GM and I were talking, and he said he believes the 991 to be the only and last NA GT engine for the speedster. He also alluded to the 992 speedster being most likely a hybrid when that time comes. Obviously, we don't know what will happen but if anyone has any insight you would think it would be the GM of a major Porsche dealership.

I sent my buddy at Porsche a note ……will see if he see if he responds. No way I see this car being sold 3Q23, unless secret development and no one has seen a road test. Photo is shopped in my view ……..regardless I’m not selling my 991.

I'm with you buddy, I personally prefer the 991 over the 992 just on looks alone. Performance wise I'm sure the 992 has it, but I'm not pushing my cars hard enough to tell the difference. I'm content where I'm at. I'll probably add a 992 TTS just to have the back seats for the kids when those settle down in price. I'm tired of paying these mark ups although no regrets.

It’s too early for this. Speedster would be 992.2 and usually last variant to launch.
I think the most exciting variant of the 992 will be the ST, which I think they got some of the specs wrong.
GT cars should remain NA for 992.2 but apparently non GT cars going back to NA with mild hybrid….we shall see.
My buddy has a Speedster from a few generations including the 991.2 if he gets any info on the 992.2 variant I’ll share as I’m sure he would be interested in adding it to his line up.

Yes, I had two 987 spiders. Great cars- would like to have kept one but need the garage space for other cars. Value wise- nothing beat them for the unique body and great drivability. The Speedster is obviously in a different league- and priced accordingly. It’s too early to comment too much on the speedster as I just got. Initial impression- a sweet version of the GT3. Special.

Who knew? I had a 981 Spyder car cover in the garage from a Spyder long gone and was curious would it fit the Speedster, and it did no problem. I’ve never covered the car, but can’t drive a stick for a couple of months due to rotator cuff surgery sucks.

Didn’t your car come with the Speedster cover?

nope, unless they forgot when I picked up ….I was bored in the garage I never use them so I tried my old Spyder cover test was never used. With my shoulder this is the first winter I parked the car.

You should go back to your dealer to sort this out.
PS - They also come with a special book from memory.
