Default GT2RS side plates on GT3RS

Does anyone know if the Gt2rs wing end plates fit on Gt3rs 991.1

They will look nice on my Gt3rs

No they will not. Wing profile is different and, as a result, the cut-out in the end plate is an different shape.

While not a 991.1 RS, you can see in these two photos of a 991.2 3RS vs a 991.2 2RS wing that they are different profiles.

The GT2RS Wing Endplate is larger on the bottom because the bottom of the wing is the more "Active" Surface
under which the downforce is generated. You can duplicate the shape for your wing cutting it out of Aluminum
and using the GT3RS Wing mounting bolt locations, but it is very doubtful that you will feel the small increase
in downforce it would generate..

Nobody cares about the downforce created by the endplates. It's for looks. The GT2RS endplates look way better and give the car a more aggressive look.

Is this something a few would be interested in? We can certainly produce a 2RS profiled wing end plate which is direct fit to the 991.1 & 991.2 RS wing element if thats something of interest?

Yes. There's another thread about this with a bunch of people saying they want this. I would be interested in 2RS endplates that fit the 3RS as long as they match the factory matte black finish of the 3RS endplates and bolt right up like OEM.

And as long as we're taking requests lol... how about anti-wind buffeting fixtures that actually fit like OEM? The other options on the market are really ghetto. Flimsy plastic and leave gaps and look cheap.

Yes x the many others you’d sell beside the ones I’d buy. Be the first to do it right and dominate the market.

End plates help the wing be more efficient much like winglets on aircraft. Something to do with mitigating and controlling wing tip vortices I beleive. Different wing profiles require different shape end plates .
Mixing the 2 will likely reduce down force, how much is a WAG.

I didn't mean the endplates are only for looks. I meant that people are not concerned with any loss in aero by swapping them... Unless someone can show a significant downside?
People don't seem to care that the stock center muffler is literally part of the rear diffuser when they swap it out for a bypass.
