Default Part# for ROW WP Rollbar?

Has anyone found the Porsche part# for the Weissach Package Rear Rollbar.

This is a standard equipment on the ROW ClubSport option 991.2 GT2RS and GT3RS. It is made of Titanium instead of Steel, and it is supposed to be almost 20 lbs lighter than the OEM Rear roll cage.

I just need a part# to start getting quotes, as this is the only rollbar I want for my lightened .2 GT3RS.

Thanks

People have been attempting to import the factory bar without much success so far. I saw that a guy in Texas obtained a titanium bar but that is the only one I have heard that has made it to the states. And, he is unwilling to share how he got it.

There is a company here in the US that makes an OEM-lookalike cage out of chromoly. It's about 37 lbs. if I remember correctly. Not titanium, but at least it's lighter than all the other cages out there and looks like the OEM one (kinda).

Can I not have a friend who lives in ROW order one and ship it to me in the states? Is there some type of import restriction? Will Porsche even sell this part alone?

This green bar is the "regular" steel roll cage of the Club-Sport package, not the Ti version of the Weissach package.

Eisenmann doesn't sell either, exclusive to Porsche. Your best bet is private (there was a sale here a few weeks ago for an OEM GT3RS cage from someone in Europe). Or maybe approach an insurer/parts dealer who may get a wrecked car whose cage is intact.

Perhaps a company stateside with ties to Porsche Motorsports could be of assistance. GMG, Kelly-Moss, etc.

Unfortunately, there is no way that we know of to legally get the Titanium roll bar here to the states, unless you want to go there, buy one, ship it back yourself, and hope for the best. It was never federalized.

We do offer a few different bars if you ever decide to go aftermarket.

OP admire your efforts, go to Germany and get that thing. I'd be the same way, OEM Ti or bust no matter the cost for my OEM OCD!

C'mon . . . when BMW refused to sell the Recaros with harness pass-thrus in the US M4 GTS (another ridiculous position by them considering the supposed intent of the car), Will Turner at Turner Motorsports stepped in and sourced a few sets. They are currently selling them on their website in fact. Where there's a will, there's a way. Someone just needs to put the time and effort in to make it happen, and if it isn't GMG, then someone else.

Can you not find a dealer in the UK, order the part and have a TaskRabbit person pick it up, take it to FedEx and ship to the USA?

Costs about $80-100 an hour for the person. Pre plan it all so all they have to do is take it from the dealer to the FedEx drop point.

Or get FedEx to pick it up at the dealer.

What am I missing? Do they not sell the part in Europe?

Dealers won’t sell the part because they can’t source it from Porsche or the manufacturer.

Even Manthey produces their own aftermarket and they are 51% owned by Porsche ......

PS: My comment is about the standard cage. I don’t know about the titanium one.
