Default Any interest in trades? my 4-way or 18-way sofas for your LWBs?

I've got two sets of 991 GT3 seats in my garage.

- Black / Grey stitching 4-way sofas < 500 miles on them (car was turned into a track car shortly after purchase)
- Black / Red stitching 18-way sofas.< 50 miles on them (car was immediately turned into a dedicated track car)

Looking for anyone interested in swapping for a set of LWBs.

May consider selling mine outright, but it's been difficult to determine pricing.

Located in Irvine, CA

Does anyone know if these 18 ways will fit/work in a 997.2 GT3RS?

Damn wish you posted this when I had my .2 GT3 w/ LWB in January. And you're local to me too. This trade would have saved me tens of thousand of dollars.

Several of you have inquired regarding pricing if I sell them outright.

I have to be honest to say that I'm not sure what the true market is for these seats.

18 -ways, I have been told by a fellow rennlister that you cannot purchase these seats from the dealer as a complete seat (not verified personally). He said you effectively need to purchase seat "parts" and assemble them together. That member sold his 18 way seats for $14K.

4 -ways. Over the past 3 years of monitoring the market, I personally have not see another set of 4 ways available for sale. Although these seats are "base" seats, they should also pull a premium for someone looking to maintain the lightweight factor in their car.

The benefit if I sell them outright, is you get to keep your LWBs for resale purposes. Everyone wants to buy a car with LWBs, but not everyone wants to sit in one unfortunately...

With that being said, I will gladly pm about pricing and open to ALL offers, but I would like to see what is a reasonable price based on market demand as well.

All the best!

Seems like you know what you'd like to get for them - the seat thing for these cars is getting a bit nuts IMO; OP if you get that for them good on you.

Yeah, I thought I'd put it up for a stretch price on there, but figured I should be more realistic here... LOL

Nothing wrong with gauging the market right?

FYI, A guy last fall was selling 18 way 991.1 seats with red stitching out of a GT3 for $6k for the set. I know because I almost bought them. I wish I would have now, but I needed yellow stitching and didn't want to deal with it. In the end, I liked the LWB and stuck with them.

Clearly you better buy the car spec'd with the right seats or its going to cost you!

I wonder why Porsche won't allow you to order them in as replacement parts? Might be cool to have a LWB for the driver and 18-way for the passenger..

I know someone who has red touring with red buckets and red stitching who was looking for sofas. I forwarded him this thread. Hopefully he is still in the market.0
