Pulled the trigger and had my wheels done in the Prismatic Powder Satin Poly Gold with a clear coat. Didn't like the Walt's Gold as it looked to gray/silver to me. Center caps are being shipped to me, but will be colored crests with matching Satin Poly Gold color. I'm very pleased with the work. Got new shoes at the same time.

.excuse the 944 entrance…long time RL member via my 928. Googling Aurum gold Porsche rennlsit led me here. Perfect thread.
.
thank you for posting these pics.
My wheels are at the coaters now , I made a phone call , they have just been stripped and I have changed to Sutters Gold with a satin clear coat. Caught them just in time. The wheels are going on a 944 turbo…old 16 “ club sports. I wanted gold on a white car but not too overbearing as these old wheels have a lot of surface area. It’s hard to pick from sample cards in the shop. All the pictures here are much better representations…thanks again.
car with chromed D90s which I will restore next. The other pic is the CS wheels heading to the coater that will be sutter gold.

I know this is a 991 thread but has anyone done or seen Lobster Claw wheels coated in gold? Thinking of doing a set for my 987 Cayman.

Went for the Walts Gold to best match the Aurum center caps. Loved the way the turned out, except that when the whole car was ceramic coated, they did the wheels as well, so they are no longer as matte as they were fresh from powder coating.
