Can't believe that the number of 991.2 (and 991.1 for that matter) GT3s on dealer lots are outnumbering the base 911 cars.........the GT3s are listed at absurd prices over original sticker in almost all cases and just sitting there..........has to be like this across the US.....when the 992 GT3 comes out in NA, probably sooner than usual, and in all variants.......people looking for a weekend special event car will be getting pretty good value/deals.........991.1s are in the 100-120k range now......base 911 range.........interesting dynamic............we will probably see even more on lots for resale a year from now.......
My suspicion is that a lot of 991.1 GT3 buyers weren’t enthusiasts and simply gravitated to the GT cars after the uptick in 997GT3/RS prices. Follow that up with the craze over the return of the manual transmission and the 991.2 GT3 speculators also got on board. Now they are all looking for a massive ROI...unless the economy cools, the same will happen with the release of the 992 GT3. These are just toys after all...
there are 11 at dealer here but only 2 show up for them on the PCNA search....I suspect others are doing the same to hide the true inventory levels across the country

I can't speak for anybody else, but yeah... I'm only selling mine because I'm moving up to an RS. I'll keep my GT3 if nobody makes a good offer as I'm still reluctant to give up the manual transmission. I suspect many of the GT3s you see are for sale by real owners because they're upgrading to an RS or something. It's not like these cars are junk lol...

Yeah I don't buy the reasoning. It is certainly the number one flipper excuse used on RL. If it were true then folks that use this excuse would be selling cars with far more than delivery or couple hundred of miles. These are good P customers and take advantage of every MSRP deal their dealer gives them with ZERO intent of driving it. They already know they are getting an RS allocation. Great part this time is with the economy and high production numbers the flippers got smoked and the MT "R" frenzy they thought would happen. I hope this continues so when the 992's come out we see a little less flipping.
Lots for sale, but I think the dealers know that spring drivers will be coming out of the woodwork. Right now is definitely the time to jump in I think. Wait 12 months when they are not making GT cars and the inventory will go away and start going up in price if anything. All bets off though if Porsche brings out the 992 GT cars earlier than normal.
