If you used pictures, I would have understood your condescending tone much better

Market change is coming, and there are maybe 5-10x too many sports cars at all prices being produced. It's about to get a little nasty for new car sales.. how many gt3 buyers will be frothing at the mouth for an incremental improvement to 992 gt3... when they have to be willing to sell their 991.2 for 120k or less? The only good thing is that they will start getting used a lot again.. the low mileage stuff will get purchased at a price where it will good to drive the b@lls off of them.. maybe even "daily".

Clearly there are a lot of cars available for sale. It seems to me that GT3RS production and delivery was concentrated over the winter months instead of a steady flow over a year or two like we've seen in the past. I assume many folks traded up to the GT3RS or GT2RS during these months when typical sports car sales are slow. Given a little time, warmer temps, and a stop on the incoming flow of new GT's, I think you'll find these cars to become scarce again before the 992's start showing up. But what do I know......

FWIW, this is my dealership and the highest over MSRP for any of the GT3's when you include the $3k CPO cost is < $5000. 5 or 6 cars at a dealer who sells well over 1000 cars a year is really not that many. They, like a select few others, just have a ton of volume.

agreed. Thinking of prices in the future, the economy dipping, over production of GT stuff, anti ICE climate, depreciation/value, the trading in 991.2 for 992 down the road. Why worry about that. Tomorrow never guaranteed just make the most of today! Orthogonal to the OPs point that *IMO* something bottlenecked GT product from getting into the hands of enthusiasts who wanted to spec and drive the cars, and I believe its the dealers.... 5k over, wish these cars went at MSRP to whoever wanted one to drive and enjoy, and therefore could spec it to their own individual taste

Cars are depreciating "assets". What appears to be appreciation is less than average loss when compared to actual investment grade assets. GT cars are falling stones compared to the plummeting rocks of other cars. A few flippers made out because they were in the right place at the right time w/ the 911R. Dealers may get a few extra bucks w/ ADM on GT cars but we don't see the bath they may take on other inventory just to keep Porsche happy. If you are an enthusiast the experience of ownership is the focus not the economics.

These prices will continue to drop. I was offered a 991.2 RS at list but passed in order to be 1st on the list for the 992 RS, so my my focus is already on the next gen. Another local dealer where I bought my 2016 RS has a 2019 guards red with Weissach package asking $10k over list and it is still sitting. Speaking with a few PCA members at the dealership before a drive, it seemed in general they were tired of ADM's or they were already focusing on the 992. Seems like the craze is beginning to cool off a bit.

So if I have the money to but a 918 Spyder, which I do, that means it's the deal I want? Your English confuses me.
The idea that anyone who isn't buying at these prices simply can't afford it is tard logic.

Agreed. Just because we have the financial means to afford and pay for a car does NOT mean that we are willing to OVERPAY for the car.
