Overall, this project is in line with what we’ve been seeing across all GT3 Touring models. It seems all we’re getting at moment are PTS cars and most are in pretty good shape.
This one has the usual clear coat “noodles” where the outline of the white wrapping air pocket can be seen in the clearcoat. When the paint is under 184k lumens of light that is extremely clean light, these are custom LEDs that have the chip and lens made in Japan, there’s not much imperfection that can hide.
Matt, thank you for doing such a wonderful job of sharing the journey your 911 is going through.
Forgot to mention...we got the color matched perfectly and mirrors, sat antenna, and washer nozzles were painted Friday. I QC’d them this morning and only the washer nozzles needed a little more TLC. We works with various body shops around and this particular one is one of more favorites and does a fantastic job.
My team and I personally still oversee every project to make sure quality meets our stringent standards. We visit the body shop 3-4x per week...it’s a tedious process, but we just cannot compromise standards
Moe - many thanks to you and your team for your amazing work and for your attention to every detail. I referred a patient of mine with a Miami Blue 991.2 GT3 RS to you today and the referrals will keep coming for years to come. Looking forward to finally meeting you in a couple of weeks!
Here are the latest pictures from Moe's shop. Paint work and tinting are done. Full body wrap is in progress. Should have interior and exterior pictures of the completed car in a few weeks. It's almost time to get this baby on the road!
As promised, here are pictures of the final product. I have yet to even drive the car - she arrives home tomorrow! Hats off to Moe and his team for their extraordinary work! The list of things that were done to the car: Paint correction, full wrap and nano coating, windshield sealant to help protect from starring, tinting of the glass (60 on the front, 40 on the sides and 40 in the back), Musicar Stage III stereo upgrade (Stage III plus - subwoofer - to follow) and fully integrated radar/laser jammer. The laser jammers can be seen in the front, but they are very subtle as they integrate beautifully with the grill and surrounding black bits. Yes, I told Moe not to replace the black PORSCHE badge on the back and I am glad that I did. More pics and of course driving impressions to follow...
Oh yes, and I also had the side mirror arms painted light ivory, along with the light washer nozzles and the antenna wart. Small little details that make a huge visual difference, in my opinion. You can compare before and after with the pictures at the beginning of the thread.
