Dealer told me a port hold note is not on my file and cars that will be held would have that notice. Car should be in port now. Fingers crossed!

Same here. Total chaos and clearly a fluid situation. Dealer sheet shows no delay BUT 1800 number PCNA says my VIN is affected and that dealer info is behind as they have the exact VIN's affected. Is Bababooey running PCNA now?

If it were an engine issue serious enough to necessitate a stop sale, wouldn't they have issued a 'stop driving other than straight to your dealer service center' recall at the same time for the affected already sold cars?
And if that's the case doesn't the fact that they haven't issued such a recall point to that it likely isn't a serious mechanical issue that's holding up these cars?
Or is that too much logic?

What if this is all an elaborate diversion so everyone runs to the dealers to go buy the ones on the showroom floors before 12/31? As most these cars would have barely missed the new years anyways...
VERY suspect the ones at the dealers seem totally fine lol We are after all dealing with the marketing hype geniuses over at Porsche Corporate
I am such a sucker

The jist: Too many GT cars on the ground in showrooms, they already hit their numbers for 2018 AND allegedly fiscal year just ended for them around the 12th. Anything late this month is booked as 2019 anyways, no reason to rush sell. If it was quality issue, other cars would have been affected, but coincidentally right before they happen to reach port they hold at the last possible moment they can hahaha. They would not have changed a part mid cycle without fixing an old part, it would be highly unlikely to make a "improved" part, no one have the knowledge of it, AND THEN have that part be worse AND fail before they even are driven is essentially a 0% chance as I am told.
WAKE UP RENNLIST TROLLS! Porsche geniuses cause a frenzy to the rennlist maniacs to go buy some cars again. Side note, the rs on the ground at Beverly Hills coincidentally sold today after sitting for weeks hahaha PLAN WORKED PORSCHE!
Like I said I am a sucker, no one else here seems to want to admit it...

My 3RS arrived to port in Davisville on Wednesday. Dealer told me about the port hold today as well. Car was completed 11/26. Dealer delivery still shows as 12/28 as of 5pm, but maybe it will update as they work the way down the list.

my car completed the same day as yours and is part of the port hold! I’m confused as I would assume our cars are from the same batch!

^ can the two of you send me your builds/options or commission numbers and I’ll check the database and report what differences I see. There were 18 NA 3RS completed on 11/26.
my 3RS was slated to finish today, PCNA now says next week but assured me mine is not part of the hold, expected dealer delivery date is still February.
