GT3T vs TTS
#61
Just had a first long run on my new 991.2 GT3, my first GT car, and I was blown away how fun it is.
I’ve had a 981S, 997TTS, and a 991.2CS but nothing compares to the GT3 in terms of sound and feel. The TTS is definitely faster once the turbo spools up and even the CS may accelerate as quick as the GT3 since torque arrives very early. However, the GT3’s power delivery is very different and I think its Porsche’s closest thing to Italian exotics like Ferraris and Lambos.
I consider the TTS sort of a sports touring car. But I’d get one used if I’m in the market for it especially since the 992 is just around the corner. I can just imagine how nice and luxurious a 992 TTS will be with the new interior set up.

The TTS is a great car but to me it has no soul and whilst it accelerates like a rocket ship I find the car a bit “soft” for lack of a better word.
I feel the TTS is a GREAT 4 seat option, probably the best 4 seater on the market, but it doesn’t have the connected driving experience of a GT3.
Lasty the TTS is great in all weather conditions.
I would much prefer a GT3T driving experience.
If Porsche put rear seats in the touring I would never even consider a TTS.
