So I saw the 991.2 GT3 vs used Huracan thread and I've realized I'm in a very similar position (except getting a .2 is borderline impossible it seems).
Yesterday I hung out with a friend of mine who has a 991.1 RS in Voodoo Blue and I fell in love. I have yet to actually drive either the Huracan or the RS.
What I'm looking for is DD duties (like 5-6k miles a year) and a good resale value (been burned too many times and am just wasting money on depreciation aka 30% leaving the lot so think AMG Mercedes/Jaguar/Aston).
There will be no tracking the car.
I'm not interested in the 991.1 GT3, as I love the RS looks.
Thanks for any honest ideas/opinions!

RS is most likely better for resale
also Huracan takes a big hit if you buy new .. so i am assuming you will pick a used one
both will generate some drama as DD , people taking pics, etc RS less than Huracan
RS will be easier to maintain , bigger Porsche dealer network , also will be easier to sell down the line . Even Lambo dealers sometimes resist buying a car from you , and will sell on consignment which can be a hassle

First question is what seats do you want?....LWB's IMO are tough to DD (don't flame me, just my opinion).....finding an RS without buckets is tough.....Huracan non race seats easier to find.....I think a used Huracan or RS are good values but the Huracan will likely depreciate more over a given period of time.....
For DD duties I would go with the RS and sofa seats.....I drive mine to work, groceries, etc and it's just fine.....

Definitely Huracan for DD over rs. I'd also consider 911 turbo s, r8 v10 plus of f12. Buy any of these used so you'll take less of hit...

If I really had to pick between the two, I would prolly DD the huracan, but really, if i was to DD a supercar, I'd go w the Audi. Less douchey attention (being one, and attracting them), and I wouldn't freak out about it as much. the emotional impact of parking a lambo is serious. Like, all the WORST places you go, you also have to park your DD there, so that's why you should have a junker, too.

I’d DD anything, but Huracan is more convenient DD over the RS. I cant believe I just said that...

Can’t speak for the Huracan. I own a 991.1 RS, by far my favorite car I’ve ever owned, but no way in the world I’d ever use it at as DD. Get a CPOd Turbo it Turbo S if you want a 911 for a daily.

Maybe DD is a bit too strong of a word, I have cars for hauling/driving to the store and whatnot. This car would really only being driven in cruising (enjoying the drive) kind of climates, but will put significant miles on it ENJOYING the drive, not so much going to a store and buying groceries per se.
I've found a Ultra Violet GT3RS here locally (it seems there is only 3 colors.. purple, orange and silver on the market overall) and I'll try to get a drive in it.

Can't speak to the Huracan, but I think the RS is pretty easy to drive anywhere. I've done about 10K on mine in the past 2 years. For daily-ish driver duties, I'd want front axle lift (can't believe I just said that as I hate it). I also find the buckets pretty comfortable but that is totally subjective. Sofa's are probably better for a daily but sit in both to get a better sense of how they work for you.
The car is incredibly docile on the street relative to prior gen GT cars.

I have a 17' NSX and while I agree it's incredibly comfortable and a "daily worthy" supercar. I miss the visceral drive of something more like something only a Huracan/GT3 can offer.

If I were you I would save a few bucks and get a 991 GT3 with sofa's. Amazing daily and lots of warranty. Huracan is beautiful but do you really want to talk to a bunch of random men every time you stop to get gas or pick up groceries ? I don't...
