Wanted something new for this summer. I have an October build for a GT3 so traded in my 15 GT3 and one of my GT4s. I thought I would really miss the GT3. NOT! Hats off to McLaren Boston. They made me an offer I could not refuse. I am a coupe type guy but spiders are the hot sellers so they want to move the 2017 coupes out. This is a new 2017 and I had them swap out the sport exhaust for the 2018 titanium exhaust. Took delivery last Monday and am halfway through the break in period. I love my Porsches but this car really punches more of my buttons. Now I can tolerate the wait because a November delivery will put the car in my garage locked up until almost a year from now.
How do the brakes on the 570S compare to the ones on the Porsche?
The lack of boost (or initial bite) on the 570S always bugged me.
I have ceramics on my 570GT and they are stiff compared to the ceramics on my RS, much much stiffer. Thats probably the only thing I don't like about the car are the brakes, everything else is as needsdecaf described. The chassis and the steering are phenomenal, much better than any P-car but I really think it would be a tough track car which is why I bought the GT I think the S and the GT are both really touring cars.
I have mine for sale now. I originally bought it because its so different than the p-cars but it does attract a lot of attention and I thought I could daily it but I can't I've had it out 3-4 times since November. So if anyone is looking for a gently used clean 570, I have one for sale!
For those with knowledge (either owned one or close bud owned one) - how much dealer maintenance is required on the new Macs?
I ask this because one of the reasons I haven't owned a Ferrari in about 10 years is the lack of a Nashville dealer. I use indy's for almost all of my maintenance but every now and again there is something that you just need the dealer to do. Having to go the ATL for that is a bit of a pain.
Maybe obviously: but we don't have a Mac dealer here either.
That link above is a great summary on all fronts. Would just add the transmission creep at a stop combined with the stuff brakes I also found annoying. Fit is also more challenging being tall than Porsche or even any F car. Fast as hell thought, makes me want to try a 720.
Brakes me no like. Almost killed Myself on my first drive. Found it to be a more digital than an analog(GT3/GT4) experience. Maybe one day will have one in garage but as long as I can buy NA it will have to wait

Motorcars of Georgia is in Atlanta, they are a Mac,Lambo, Aston, Rolls, Lotus dealer. I have bought 3 Macs from them and another one coming soon. I live in NJ. I have 3 dealers within 65 miles and I use them for service/warranty. They pick up enclosed and everything is usually done within 1 week and back in my garage.
Beautiful car, OP. The Mac reminds me of the Lotus Evora, which I also like, especially in MT. Unfortunately for me, no Mac or Lotus dealership anywhere near me.
